Our Journey
From its establishment in 1974 to today, Sunrise Lakes Phase 2 has been a cherished community for active adults seeking lakeside living.
1970s - Establishment
Sunrise Lakes Phase 2 was developed as a premier 55+ condominium community in Sunrise, Florida. The vision was to create a lakeside haven where active adults could enjoy their retirement years in comfort and community.
Community Development
25 buildings were constructed, each containing 36 units, creating a total of 900 homes. The buildings were thoughtfully designed around beautiful lakes and green spaces, with three community pools, a fitness center, and clubhouse facilities.
Growing Community Spirit
Over the decades, Sunrise Lakes Phase 2 has evolved into more than just a residential community. It has become a place where neighbors look out for one another, where friendships are formed, and where residents take pride in their homes and shared spaces.
Today and Beyond
Today, Sunrise Lakes Phase 2 continues to be a vibrant, self-managed community with an active Board of Directors committed to transparent governance, continuous improvement, and maintaining the high standards that have made this community special for over four decades.
